Job summary

PENN Entertainment, Inc. is seeking an EVS/janitorial team member at our Biloxi property. You will clean casino areas, move furniture, operate carpet machines, and maintain equipment with a focus on safety and customer service.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and compliance with gaming and ServSafe standards. Training and advancement opportunities are available within the Facilities team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must obtain a Gaming Permit and complete ServSafe Alcohol training.

Responsibilities

• Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer; moves furniture and cleans assigned area.
• Maintains and cleans machines after use.
• Cleans casino areas (excluding kitchen) and bar areas; transports trash.
• Reports problems to EVS Supervisor.
• Follows company, department policies, safety standards; treats customers and coworkers with courtesy.
• Performs duties as assigned by EVS Supervisor or Facilities Director.

• Transports all trash.
• Reports any problems to EVS Supervisor.
• Adheres to all company, department policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
• Performs any and all duties as assigned by EVS Supervisor or Facilities Director.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and fellow team members.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• The ability to operate sweeping and shampooing equipment.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit. Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course.
