Job summary

National Council of State Housing Agencies is seeking a Program Coordinator II to support the Housing Choice Voucher Program across multiple South Carolina counties. The role focuses on eligibility determinations, lease-up actions, and compliance with HUD standards.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and full-time experience in housing subsidy programs or related fields.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for the Housing Choice Voucher Program per HUD and SC Housing rules.
• Perform initial lease-up actions and conduct recertifications.
• Coordinate and conduct physical inspections to ensure HUD NSPIRE compliance.
• Negotiate and execute Housing Assistance Payment contracts with landlords.
• Interact with applicants, participants, and landlords daily to ensure eligibility and compliance.
• Conduct landlord outreach and public relations regarding program participation.
