Position Details

Type: Full-time

Description: As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you will prospect and develop new business relationships, primarily targeting small businesses, and close sales agreements. Success in this role involves a consultative sales approach, strong prospecting skills, persistence, and passion for our solutions.

Location & Reporting

Location: Remote, Minneapolis territory

Reports To: Director of Sales

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Generate new business opportunities through various sources.
  2. Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospects.
  3. Prepare proposals and follow up throughout the sales process.
  4. Coordinate with internal teams for client onboarding.
  5. Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and contacts.
  6. Build relationships within the broker channel and other referral sources.
  7. Maintain contact with existing clients for additional needs.
  8. Attend trade shows and industry events.
  9. Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the Internet.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Mobility for sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer and small objects.
  • Sensory abilities to see, hear, and touch.
  • Work typically performed in an office environment.
