Job summary

Healthy Communities Coalition is hosting the RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program in Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes. Members will be placed at youth-serving host sites, strengthening connections, resiliency, and soft skills, with training as community health workers.

Participants will earn certificates of training and take part in a National Day of Service through the AmeriCorps program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or community programs.
• Ability to collaborate with host sites and partners.
• Willingness to participate in National Day of Service.

Responsibilities

• Place RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across Nevada.
• Support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes.
• Earn certificates of training in skills for career development in mental health fields.
• Join AmeriCorps in participating in one National Day of Service.

Healthy Communities Coalition's (HCC) RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program is an innovative program that places RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across the state of Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes through strengthening connections, improving resiliency, soft skills development and referrals to resources.As part of this journey, RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members are trained as mental health Community Health Workers and will earn certificates of training in skills that will apply towards career development in mental health related fields.

Member Duties :
