Healthy Communities Coalition in Nevada hosts the RISE Youth Mental Health Corps AmeriCorps program. Members are placed in youth-serving sites to support mental health, resiliency, and education outcomes, while earning an education award and gaining career-ready skills.

Positions run 09/16/2026 through 08/15/2027 with a full-time schedule. Training, childcare assistance if eligible, and health coverage are provided as part of the program benefits.

Healthy Communities Coalition's (HCC) RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program is an innovative program that places RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across the state of Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes through strengthening connections, improving resiliency, soft skills development and referrals to resources. As part of this journey, RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members are trained as mental health Community Health Workers and will earn certificates of training in skills that will apply towards career development in mental health related fields.

Member Duties

Healthy Communities Coalition's (HCC) RISE Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) AmeriCorps program is an innovative program that places RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members in youth serving host sites across the state of Nevada to support youth mental health and improve educational outcomes through strengthening connections, improving resiliency, soft skills development and referrals to resources. HCC RISE YMHC AmeriCorps members will also join AmeriCorps in participating in one National Day of Service.
