Job summary

Virtix Health LLC is seeking a part-time, fully remote Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist to join our team. You will review medical records, abstract ICD-10-CM codes, and map them to HCC, RxHCC, and ESRD models using encoder software and clinical guidelines.

The role requires 6 months of retrospective HCC coding experience and an active AAPC/AHIMA credential. Expect 20–29 hours per week with flexible scheduling and a strong emphasis on accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of recent retrospective HCC coding experience.
  • Current AAPC or AHIMA credential required (CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS or CCS-P).
  • Must have reliable internet and ability to work from home in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and code patient medical records based on client-specific guidelines.
  • Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment.
  • Follow Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules and maintain quality scores.
  • Maintain productivity levels as required by project requirements.

Team members may work no less than 4-hour blocks at a time, M-F between the hours of 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM ESTFlexible hours after quality and productivity goals are met.Remote/Work from home (within the U.S.)Must have a minimum of 6 months of recent retrospective HCC coding experience PLUS 1 years of additional coding experience.A valid AAPC or AHIMA coding credential required.Acceptable credentials would be CPC, CRC, COC, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P.
