Job summary

Strategic Interventions, LLC on the SUN Behavioral Health network seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to join the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in North Carolina. You will assess substance use, develop individualized plans, and deliver integrated care for clients with co-occurring disorders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and NC licensure with QP status (CCS/LCAS/LCAS-A/CDAC). Travel is minimal but may be required to support community care teams and crises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Licensure in North Carolina as an addiction/substance use specialist with QP status (CCS, LCAS, LCAS-A, or CDAC).
• +1 year of experience treating individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Human services experience as a Substance Use Counselor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance abuse assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver integrated care for members with co-occurring disorders.
• Collaborate with ACTT team to provide rehabilitation, care management, and crisis support.
• Apply knowledge of ACTT principles, substance use treatment, and intervention techniques.
