Job summary

Access Mental Health Agency is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support outpatient mental health services in Atlanta. The role involves nursing assessments, medication management, patient education, and care coordination in a collaborative treatment team.

The position requires an active Georgia RN license, relevant behavioral health experience, and strong documentation skills. In-office hours total 10 per week with Mondays 9:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license.
• ASN in Nursing with 5+ years behavioral health experience, or BSN with 2+ years.
• Experience with psychiatric nursing, medication management, and patient education.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications.
• Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and required training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and monitor client progress.
• Administer and evaluate medications.
• Provide education to clients, families, and caregivers regarding mental health, medications, wellness, and relapse prevention.
• Complete and maintain accurate electronic clinical documentation.
• Coordinate medication services and communicate with pharmacies.
• Maintain medication inventory and review treatment plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate on client care.
• Assist with crisis intervention and emergency situations.
• Complete follow-up calls, prior authorizations, and medical record requests.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, DBHDD requirements, CARF standards, and nursing regulations.
• Perform additional administrative and client support duties as assigned.
