Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is seeking Caregivers, CNAs and HHAs for weekend and overnight shifts. Earn $18.00 - $22.00 per hour while helping seniors live independently at home across Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, and Watsonville.

We provide PPE, paid onboarding and training, and weekly pay. You’ll perform personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping and companionship with a focus on dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum reading/writing/speaking English required.
• 1 year of caregiving experience, family or professional.
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork and pass a background check.
• CNA, HHA, or PCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as instructed.
• Provide companionship and monitor safety during visits.
• Support client with errands and appointments as needed.
• Document care provided and communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
