Job Description
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform cleanup duties.
  • Handle and store materials.
  • Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
  • Use and maintain craft‑specific tools and equipment.
  • Apply craft‑related mathematics.
  • Apply safety standards and best practices for rigging.
  • Inspect rigging equipment and hardware.
  • Use common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, and knot tying (bowline & clove hitch).
  • Operate rigging equipment for craft‑specific tasks.
  • Identify equipment types.
  • Inspect, service, and maintain equipment as required.
  • Read and use equipment operators’ manuals.
  • Assist with equipment service and maintenance.
  • Identify components and controls of equipment.
  • Respond to equipment emergency procedures.
  • Operate bulldozer to achieve specified grading results.
  • Excavate trenches to specified length, depth, and width.
  • Fasten attachments to tractors with clevis or wedge pin hitches.
  • Start engines, operate throttle, switches, and controls.
  • Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkages, or PTO shafts.
  • Keep equipment clean and well maintained.
  • Interact with crew to complete grade specifications.
  • Follow directions from supervisors, superintendents, and engineers.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance (lubrication, fueling, cleaning).
  • Execute minor repairs using grease guns, oil cans, and hand tools.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
