Job Description
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Perform cleanup duties.
- Handle and store materials.
- Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
- Use and maintain craft‑specific tools and equipment.
- Apply craft‑related mathematics.
- Apply safety standards and best practices for rigging.
- Inspect rigging equipment and hardware.
- Use common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, and knot tying (bowline & clove hitch).
- Operate rigging equipment for craft‑specific tasks.
- Identify equipment types.
- Inspect, service, and maintain equipment as required.
- Read and use equipment operators’ manuals.
- Assist with equipment service and maintenance.
- Identify components and controls of equipment.
- Respond to equipment emergency procedures.
- Operate bulldozer to achieve specified grading results.
- Excavate trenches to specified length, depth, and width.
- Fasten attachments to tractors with clevis or wedge pin hitches.
- Start engines, operate throttle, switches, and controls.
- Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkages, or PTO shafts.
- Keep equipment clean and well maintained.
- Interact with crew to complete grade specifications.
- Follow directions from supervisors, superintendents, and engineers.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance (lubrication, fueling, cleaning).
- Execute minor repairs using grease guns, oil cans, and hand tools.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Extreme heat or cold.
