Hermann Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Southwest Houston, TX to lead all warehouse operations with a strong emphasis on hazardous materials handling, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role includes overseeing inventory, staff supervision, and coordination with logistics to ensure safe, compliant workflows.

You will manage budgets, forecast needs, and drive efficiency while upholding strict safety standards and environmental protections throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing warehouse operations (Required), including hazmat handling.
• Certification in hazmat handling and safety (e.g., OSHA HAZWOPER, DOT Hazmat) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing hazardous materials (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• Proven leadership with experience supervising and training warehouse personnel.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping with hazmat focus.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety procedures specific to hazmat handling.
• Train and supervise warehouse staff on hazmat handling and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams for safe, compliant movement of hazardous goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation for hazardous materials.
• Conduct safety audits to ensure OSHA/DOT/EPA compliance and risk mitigation.
• Respond to incidents involving hazmat, leading containment and mitigation.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and reporting.
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes for efficiency and safety.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, safety metrics, and compliance.
• Oversee warehouse financial performance including expense tracking and budgeting.
• Prepare cost analyses for senior management and ensure alignment with operations.
