Job summary

Amentum is seeking a material transporter at Hill AFB to move materials using medium/light trucks and a forklift, with related warehouse duties. You will verify shipments, secure loads, and assist with loading/unloading while following safety and quality standards.

The role may require day, swing, or rotating shifts including weekends/holidays, and may involve transporting to designated storage or end users. Amentum emphasizes safety, quality, and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Minimum 18 months of experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, transportation, or related processes.
• Ability to use the DSS and automated distribution systems used at DLA.
• Must be able to follow MIL-STD and DLA manuals or directives.
• Licensed and experienced in the use of MHE.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks up to 14,000 pounds to destinations per instructions.
• Monitor vehicle and report maintenance needs to dispatcher.
• Secure loads for safe arrival.
• Communicate with dispatcher and supervisor daily.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials.
• Perform daily truck maintenance checks.
• Follow directions and operate on government installations and in various traffic conditions.
• Receive and execute daily work assignments from dispatcher.
