Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. seeks a skilled transport technician to move materials for the customer at HAFB, operating medium/light trucks and forklifts.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, routing, and verifying materials against documents, with potential shifts including weekends and holidays and occasional hazardous materials transport. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, and maintain a good driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Good driving record required.
• Minimum 18 months experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, transportation, or related processes.
• Experience using the DSS and automated distribution systems used at DLA.
• Ability to follow MIL-STD and DLA directives.
• Licensed and experienced with MHE.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks up to 14,000 pounds to destination for pickup and delivery.
• Monitor vehicle and report maintenance needs to Dispatcher.
• Secure loads to ensure safe arrival.
• Communicate with Dispatcher, Unit Lead, and Supervisor daily.
• Assist in loading/unloading material.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on the truck.
• Operate on/off government installations and in various traffic conditions.
• Receive daily work assignments from Dispatcher and perform related duties.
