Job summary

Terraphase Engineering Inc is looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join their team in Sacramento, Oakland, or Los Angeles. This role focuses on field projects related to hazardous building materials and environmental sampling, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure health and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, certifications, and at least 2 years of experience in environmental consulting. The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 USD, with benefits including medical and generous 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Cal/OSHA CAC or CSST certification is required.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 2+ years’ experience as a hazardous building materials technician or environmental field technician.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety as the primary goal.
• Conduct environmental site assessment sampling.
• Maintain accurate field logs and documentation.

Skills

Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Education

College degree (BS, MS, MPH) in a science-related field
