Job summary

The Environmental Services Field Technician I (Driver Non-CDL) at Republic Services performs essential cleanup and Hazmat decon tasks, handling emergency responses and spill remediation. You will operate light and heavy equipment and support safety and environmental compliance at customer sites.

Responsibilities include DOT inspections, vehicle logging, and equipment maintenance, with opportunities to learn through on‑the‑job training in hazardous materials handling and site safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HazWOPER training completed (40 hours) required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to DOT qualify for non-CDL vehicle operation (10k–26k lbs).
• Must be able to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Confined space entry and remedial cleanup tasks.
• Operates light and heavy equipment including roll-off and vacuum trucks, forklifts, pumps.
• Responds to spills and emergencies during and after hours.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintains vehicle logs.
• Performs general site housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
