Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration in Austin, TX seeks a Hazardous Waste Technician to provide operational support in mitigation and environmental cleanup. You will respond to emergency spills, decontaminate equipment, and follow MSDS protocols while working nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating with emergency responders, maintaining safety practices, and ensuring accurate time records and material usage. A current Hazardous Waste Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must have current Hazardous Waste Certification.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Work with Emergency Response Teams and project remediation teams.
• Ensure work meets measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or materials.
• Follow health and safety procedures including PPE and labeling.
• Communicate issues to the Project Manager.
• Learn and apply MSDS protocols for chemicals used.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
