Job summary

Linde plc. is seeking a CDL driver to support delivery operations in Buffalo, NY. You will unload and deliver cylinders, perform pre-/post-trip inspections, and handle hazardous materials paperwork, maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/G.E.D. is required.
• 2 years driving experience or completed truck driver training course.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years.
• A current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid class A/B CDL is required.
• Current Hazmat on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire.
• 2+ yrs. experience in plant or manufacturing environment preferred.
• You can read and write in English.
• You are 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload products to customer use points and reload returned cylinders to the vehicle.
• Drive approximately 30% of the day; remaining time on delivery, cylinder handling, paperwork, and customer contact.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles delivered/picked up.
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping papers in accordance with DOT/TC regulations.
• Placard vehicle per hazardous material regulations and Linde standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders per guidelines and procedure.
• Perform tests on cylinders before filling and determine retesting/repair needs.
• Fill product as needed, check quantities and product types.
• Load and unload from weekly shuttle truck; operate forklift and related equipment.
