Job summary

Idlogistics is seeking a Supervisor, Hazmat to ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste at our Henrico, VA facility. You will serve as the regulated waste contact and support EH&S programs, audits and training.

The role requires 2+ years of hazardous waste management, knowledge of RCRA/OSHA/EPA/DOT, spill response, and experience auditing safety/compliance, with strong collaboration with operations to foster safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of hazardous waste management experience including profiling and disposal.
• Knowledge of RCRA and 40 CFR and 49 CFR regulations.
• Familiarity with MSDS/SDS interpretation and HazCom standards.
• Experience handling hazardous consumer goods (flammables, corrosives, aerosols, oxidizers, acids, bases).
• Spill response knowledge and experience.
• 2+ years of safety/compliance auditing experience.
• 3+ years with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, and local regulations for hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal.
• Serve as the site’s regulated waste representative and coordinate the program.
• Identify, sort, designate, and package regulated waste from the production floor.
• Act as the point of contact for spills and hazardous waste incidents.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and HazCom documentation.
• Conduct safety and compliance audits and drive corrective actions.
• Train employees on chemical handling, storage, disposal, and spill response.
• Collaborate with operations to integrate hazardous waste protocols into daily workflows.
