Job summary

Maine Oxy is hiring a HazMat Class B Driver for local routes with home every night. This full-time role pays $30/hour and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, with overtime typically available.

You will deliver cylinders and hard goods, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain accurate paperwork. The job emphasizes safety, DOT/OSHA compliance, and strong customer relationships in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
• A clean record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards.
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry.
• Experience handling compressed gases is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Run a scheduled local route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues.
• Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts.
• Build good customer relationships and help them stay ahead of their cylinder needs.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional.
