Job summary

Clean Harbors in South Portland, ME is seeking a Class B CDL Driver-Hazmat to operate light and heavy-duty trucks at our customer sites for hazardous waste clean-up. Training Academy out of state is required for new hires; travel expenses are paid by the company.

The role covers driving and non-driving duties, including loading/unloading, placarding, and regulatory compliance. On-call for emergency response on rotating weeks and site remediation duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Able to operate a manual transmission and a variety of Class B trucks.
• Willing to undergo background check, drug test and medicals as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure proper placarding per regulations.
• Maintain daily logs and time sheets and complete required reports.
• Comply with DOT, local, state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Be available for on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
