Job summary

MAINE OXY-ACETYLENE SUPPLY COMPANY is seeking a Class A CDL driver to deliver helium cylinders to established customers on a regional over-the-road route. Expect overnight stays, hotel housing, and a schedule that departs Monday and returns Friday, with weekends at home.

You will load and unload, perform DOT safety inspections, complete paperwork, and build relationships with regular customers while maintaining DOT compliance. Benefits include sign-on bonus, overtime, PTO, 401(k) match, and more.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training within the past 4 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports.
• Lift 25–75 lbs, multiple loads daily, outdoor work in wide temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers.
• Load and unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance.
• Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs.
