Job summary

An environmental services company is seeking a driver to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely. Responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections, reviewing shipment manifests, and complying with DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, prior commercial driving experience, and strong customer service skills. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Prior commercial driving experience required.
• Familiarity with U.S. DOT regulations for hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of vehicle and/or trailer.
• Review shipment records and manifests before transport.
• Drive within local market complying with DOT requirements.
• Consult with customers about load conditions and paperwork.
• Notify supervisor of any moving violations or accidents.
• Assist loading/unloading materials at designated sites.
• Responsible for housekeeping as required.
