Job summary

Clean Harbors in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role performs driving and non-driving duties for hazardous waste clean-up and requires Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain them.

Pay range features $27-$30 per hour plus a $7K sign-on bonus, with standard benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical (per position).
• OSHA respiratory protection standards compliance when respirators are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain daily logs and time sheets.
• Follow DOT, local, state and federal regulations.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Site remediation and hazardous materials handling as assigned.
