Job summary

Brenntag is seeking a Driver to deliver packaged dry or liquid materials to customers using Brenntag vehicles. You will operate a tractor-trailer, handle preliminary loading/unloading tasks and ensure all safety and regulatory procedures are followed.

Required are a Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, medical card and a clean driving record. Forklift certification and the ability to work overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must have Tanker Endorsement and Bulk Training.
• Must have Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Must possess a current medical card.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate tractor, trailer and forklift safely.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to read and carry out instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator.
• No facial hair that interferes with a respirator.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaged dry or liquid materials to customers on Brenntag vehicles.
• Use air diaphragm pump as necessary on delivery.
• Position trailer in loading area and chock wheels for loading/unloading.
• Ensure valves are closed prior to loading/unloading.
• Will-call product from vendors for Brenntag warehouse or direct delivery.
• Verify product matches delivery paperwork before leaving Brenntag.
• Review bills of lading at delivery to ensure correct product and instructions are followed.
• Comply with DOT packaging, labeling, loading and safety procedures.
• Perform DOT pre-inspection of dispatched vehicle daily.
• Secure loads per policy and DOT regulations.
• Ensure correct placards per 49 CFR.
• Monitor load for leaks during transportation.
• Follow emergency procedures for leaks/releases.
• Adhere to facility safety policies on site.
• Stay with truck during loading/unloading.
• Complete documentation including signatures, bills of lading, C of A’s and C of C’s.
