Job summary

Brenntag seeks a skilled CDL Driver to support daily chemical distribution using Class 8 tractors. You will handle both liquids and dry products, perform loading/unloading with pumps, and ensure paperwork accuracy while adhering to DOT and Brenntag safety standards.

The role emphasizes safety training, regular home time, and operating modern equipment in a compliance‑driven environment. Local candidates preferred with a valid Class A CDL and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or US military experience.
• Must meet all components of driver qualifications (DQ) for employment.
• Class A CDL with Tanker, Bulk, and/or Hazmat Endorsement (as required for role).
• Current DOT medical card.
• If position has PFT requirements to wear a respirator, no facial hair that interferes with a respirator.
• Current TWIC card or proof of application (if location requires).
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Preferred: 1 year liquid bulk hauling experience or 3 years commercial truck driving.
• Certification from Accredited Commercial Driving Academy (preferred).
• Must reside local to area (within sixty miles).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must pass E-verify check.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and driving of a power unit (Class 8 tractors and lower) for chemical distribution.
• Transport of HAZMAT and non-hazardous materials (liquids and dry materials).
• Load/unload with pumps, air, etc. and manage the full transfer and delivery process, including paperwork.
• Follow Brenntag operating procedures and safety policies on customer/vendor sites.
• Care for equipment (ELDs, GPS, cameras) and maintain good housekeeping before use.
• Communicate delivery instructions with supervisor/dispatcher.
