Job summary

Clean Harbors in Elgin, IL is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light and heavy‑duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. You will transport with vacuum and other trailers, perform loading/unloading, and support hazardous waste cleanup at sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must be able to perform physical functions.
• Willingness to complete background check, drug test, and physical exam if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Drive a variety of Class B trucks and load/unload at customer sites.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and proper placarding per DOT rules.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Observe all local, state, and federal regulations and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation and hazardous materials handling when required.
