Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an experienced Field Project Manager I (Hazmat/ Environmental Abatement) to organize, lead, and complete projects in the region with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role involves travel 50-80%, on-call responsibilities, and participation in bidding/quoting. All new hires attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses and per diem are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Knowledge of AHERA, NESHAP, and OSHA 1926.1101.
• Ability to interpret asbestos survey reports and abatement specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project management including contract management and safety.
• Lead asbestos abatement and remediation projects in compliance with regulations.
• On-site project management may be required.
• Coordinate air monitoring, decontamination, and final clearance testing.
• Oversee project budgeting, cost reporting, and procurement.
• Assist in marketing and development of new business opportunities.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and safe.
• Communicate with clients to arrange payment on past due accounts.
