Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a Hazardous Waste Technician to safely remove and transport medical waste, hazardous materials, and linen across the facility while maintaining clean loading docks and storage areas.

Under an Environmental Services Supervisor, you will follow infection control protocols, read safety data sheets, handle chemicals properly, and support meeting setups; six months of healthcare or ES experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in healthcare, Environmental Services, customer service, or hospitality.
• Ability to follow basic oral/written instructions in English for safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove and transport medical, hazardous, municipal waste, recycling and linen.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading dock, trash areas and containers.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of tables and chairs for events and meetings.
• Follow infection control, PPE and hazard communication standards.
• Read safety data sheets and properly label and store chemicals.
