Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Process Planner to review, approve and route hazardous waste containers through treatment processes, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations. This role coordinates with Production, Operations and Approvals to optimize waste processing while maintaining high safety standards.

Education includes a BS in Chemistry with 2–4 years of hazardous waste experience; strong communication and time-management skills are essential in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related discipline is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in hazardous waste industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specific written burn plans for drum waste with waste type, instructions, and values.
• Provide instructions to hourly personnel for proper handling and incineration of waste.
• Prepare plans for specialty and feeder systems including waste type, flushing, and operator instructions for burning residuals.
• Maintain and update reactive database and profiles for waste handling and incineration.
• Ensure hazardous waste inventory is processed within designated time parameters.
• Collaborate with operations to determine preferred methods for handling waste streams.
• Generate weekly/monthly reports to evaluate burn plan effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned.
