Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor for our Greater Austin Area team, based at a client site in Taylor, TX. The role requires hands-on supervision of bulk tanker loading, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely shipments while leading field crews.

The ideal candidate will manage schedules, documentation, and safety programs, with experience in RCRA/DOT rules, OSHA requirements, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising technicians and coordinating schedules/logistics.
• Firm understanding of RCRA, DOT, and other hazardous waste regulations.
• Hazardous materials handling including manifests and shipping docs.
• Experience with tankers, pumps, hoses, and vacuum truck equipment.
• OSHA 40-hour training mandatory or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate bulk tanker shipments, loading windows, and onsite drivers with local office staff and customers.
• Directly supervise and manage field technicians performing tanker loading operations.
• Ensure tankers are loaded safely and efficiently per SOPs, compatibility, and DOT/RCRA requirements.
• Verify tanker, hose, and gasket compatibility; review washout requirements before loading.
• Create and review accurate waste shipment manifests.
• Perform air monitoring and use gas meters as needed.
• Communicate shipment status and scheduling changes to staff and customers.
• Oversee job site safety, PPE compliance, and spill-response readiness for loading crews.
• Manage profitability and efficiency of loading assignments.
• Verify material and tanker compatibility; halt work if unsafe conditions occur.
