Clean Harbors is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer in Poca, WV to join a safety-focused team. The role involves field tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position requires physical stamina, on-call availability, and adherence to safety policies. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and opportunities for growth are offered, with health coverage after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• On-call requirement; may work weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform physical functions per listed responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE properly including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures outdoors and indoors in all weather.
• Handle hazardous materials and perform waste sampling as needed.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter trucks, tanks and containers.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
