Job summary

ATI, Inc. seeks an Environmental Technician in Springfield, VA to support solid and hazardous waste management at a government facility. The role requires handling waste, labeling drums, and moving materials between SAA and HWB under regulatory guidelines.

The candidate should have 3+ years in a similar role and a 40-hour HAZWOPer certification; DOT HazMat is a plus. Must be able to lift 50–70 lbs and work in PPE, with secure environment access and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be US citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with solid and hazardous waste management at a Government facility.
• Place and label hazardous waste drums at Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA).
• Move hazardous waste from the SAA to the Hazardous Waste Building (HWB) on site.
• Inspect storage conditions to regulatory standards.
• Conduct inventories of hazardous materials and report status.
• Coordinate solid and universal waste receptacle pickups.
• Assist in other facility maintenance activities as time allows.
