Job summary

Waste Management in San Antonio seeks a hands-on team member to support Sustainability Services on hazardous and non-hazardous waste projects. The role involves manual labor, drum handling, bulking, and packaging with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires travel between customer sites in the San Antonio area and adherence to EPA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines. An Associate's Degree or equivalent with two years of relevant work experience is required; a 24‑hour HAZWOPER

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent with two years of relevant work experience.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience preferred.
• 24‑hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and packaging.
• Move drums and waste containers, including bulking and transfer between containers.
• Ensure proper labeling, segregation, and documentation per EPA/DOT regulations.
• Support safety processes: use PPE, follow procedures, attend training and meetings.
• Travel to customer sites within the San Antonio area as needed.
