Qualifications

• Experience applying Washington’s Dangerous Waste Regulations (173-303 WAC) and RCWs to determine compliance.
• Plan and conduct detailed inspections of regulated facilities and assess operational practices.
• Prepare inspection reports, violation summaries, and enforcement materials.
• Interpret internal policies and regulatory guidance to support consistent decisions.
• Provide direction to technical staff and mentor on complex questions.
• Communicate regulatory and technical information clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Northwest Region’s dangerous waste compliance team by assigning inspections and setting goals.
• Mentor and train inspectors across experience levels with technical guidance on enforcement pathways.
• Identify emerging regulatory issues and collaborate to develop solutions.
• Represent HWTR in discussions on compliance topics and enforcement approaches.
• Develop internal tools and training to strengthen cross-region consistency.
• Coordinate with Attorney General’s Office to review enforcement cases.
