The State of North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality is seeking an Environmental Program Consultant (NS) to oversee hazardous waste facility compliance, review permits, and coordinate with EPA Region 4. The position is based in Raleigh with a hybrid telework option and requires a master's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience.

• Master's degree plus three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Equivalency language allows qualification by education or experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform technical reviews and evaluations of RCRA corrective action documents and oversee groundwater compliance for hazardous waste facilities.
• Review and modify closure and post-closure plans; conduct technical reviews of hazardous waste permits.
• Interact with EPA Region 4 and department personnel.
• Provide information to the public and to facilities.
• Keep track of facility compliance activities and project progress.

Educación

Master's degree in environmental or natural resource sciences or closely related field

3 years of experience related to the area of assignment
