MPS Group, Inc. seeks a Chemical Conveyance & Hazardous Waste Coordinator to join the Mercedes Benz US International facility in Vance, AL.

The role focuses on safe handling, storage, transportation, documentation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials across the site. Responsibilities include managing waste streams, regulatory compliance, spill response, inbound deliveries, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and shipping documents.
• Experience handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams.
• familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA and related regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility waste streams including hazardous, non-hazardous, universal waste, recyclables and general plant refuse.
• Inspect waste collection areas and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support spill response and manage spill-related waste materials.
• Receive inbound chemical deliveries and inspect containers for damage/leaks.
• Verify shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, SDS, packing slips).
• Label chemical containers per regulatory requirements.
• Store chemicals in designated hazardous storage areas.
• Monitor inventory, track expirations, coordinate disposal with environmental personnel.
• Maintain chemical inventory records and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Collect and transport hazardous waste, recyclables, and chemical materials throughout the facility.
• Deliver chemicals to production areas and retrieve empty containers for reuse or disposal.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to support waste segregation and recycling.
• Maintain shipping records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and customer safety requirements.
• Assist with environmental training for personnel.
