Job summary

Clean Harbors in Columbus, OH is seeking a Class B CDL Equipment Operator to drive light and heavy trucks on customer sites and perform non-driving duties at hazardous waste cleanup sites. Training includes a two-week out-of-state academy with paid training.

Average shifts are 8–10+ hours, typically Monday–Friday starting around 6 am, with overtime after 40 hours. The role requires Hazmat/Tanker endorsements and willingness for emergency project work up to 2 weeks away with hotel and per diem

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test, and physical may be required.
• Must meet respirator facial hair standards per OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Operate a variety of Class B trucks; load and unload as needed.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Comply with DOT and company safety and environmental guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
