Job summary

Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, with driving and non-driving duties related to hazardous waste cleanup. Hours are Monday–Friday days with local runs and occasional overnights.

Training includes an in-person academy out of state; airfare, hotel, and per diem are provided, and attendance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical where applicable.
• Must meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a team environment.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform site labor to support customer needs.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and related reports.
• Comply with DOT and company safety regulations and environmental health guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Assist with site remediation and equipment decontamination as required.
