Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Hazardous Materials Technician (InSite Technician) to perform tasks involved with collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment at client locations. The role emphasizes safety as the top priority and requires a valid driver’s license.

The schedule runs 05:00am to 02:00pm with opportunities for growth. Compensation starts at $26.00 per hour, DOE, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days of full-time employment and a 401K with company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Hazardous waste experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority by following all safety practices and policies.
• Prepares packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal notifications.
• Inspects staging, storage areas, and for leaks or spills to ensure compliance.
• Packages waste chemicals for disposal and maintains proper labeling.
• Collects samples and profiles of new waste streams as needed.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Completes tracking paperwork and other duties as assigned.
