Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in California is seeking a Hazardous Materials Technician (InSite Technician) to perform tasks collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment at client sites. Schedule is 05:00am - 02:00pm, full-time, on-site at customer locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Hazardous waste experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Prepares packing lists, labels, manifests and land disposal notifications.
• Inspects staging areas for housekeeping, leaks, spills, and labeling compliance.
• Packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Samples and profiles new waste streams needing analytical testing.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Prepare tracking paperwork and perform other duties as assigned.
