A prominent environmental consulting firm in Monrovia, CA is looking for a Hazardous Materials Technician to conduct monitoring and surveys for hazardous materials including asbestos and mold. The role requires evening and weekend availability, and experience is preferred but not mandatory as full training will be provided. Qualifications

• Asbestos and/or Lead certifications a plus but not required.
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to perform field work requiring physical exertion.
• Evenings and weekends availability required in addition to regular hours.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Valid California driver’s license and insurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Converse Consultants is an employee-owned California corporation, with offices in California, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Our corporate headquarters is located in Monrovia, California.

Converse Consultants is seeking a Hazardous Materials Technician for the Monrovia, CA office to conduct surveys and abatement monitoring related to asbestos, lead‑base paints, mold, and other hazardous materials. Must be available to work evenings and weekends in addition to regular business hours.

Experience and applicable certifications a plus but not required. Converse will train the selected applicant provided this person is committed to the required training/certification time.

Opportunities for other environmental work (Phase I & II ESAs) are potentially available for the selected applicant.
