GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a hazardous materials removal worker to join our demolition and decontamination team. You will work at industrial, commercial and residential properties to remove asbestos and other dangerous materials.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hazardous materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel 3-5 days per week (Mon-Fri). Daily per diem when traveling.
• Must have valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle.
• Pre-employment drug and criminal background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Aid with demolition or renovation.
• Remove substances, such as lead and asbestos, from a building using a variety of tools.
• Clean the contaminated area thoroughly to ensure no trace remains, using steam cleaners and filter pumps.
• Clean equipment after use with proper solvents and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site supervisor or management.
