Job summary

CF Industries is seeking an Operator to support ammonia terminal operations in Spencer, IA. The role involves loading/unloading, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to safety and operating procedures in a demanding industrial environment.

You will work 12-hour rotating shifts and participate in emergency response tasks as required, with ongoing training and opportunities for progression within the Operator program.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow operating procedures.
• Refrigeration knowledge appropriate to role.
• HAZMAT certification is required.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and records.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform product loading and unloading following procedures.
• Maintain equipment, facilities and housekeeping per SOPs.
• Understand and monitor refrigeration systems and gauge readings.
• Maintain manuals and records accurately and on time.
• Comply with training, environmental, health and safety programs.
• Assist in training other operators as needed.
• Coordinate with Emergency Response personnel for safety events.
• Perform hazardous material response/remediation if spills occur.
• Progress through Operator Progression Program and advance as directed.
• Support capital and maintenance projects and assist facility management as needed.
• May assume facility management responsibilities in the manager's absence.
