Job summary

State of Connecticut, DMHAS seeks certified Police Officers to join the Safety Services Division. Full-time, 40 hours per week with multiple shift options and every other weekend off.

Officers provide security, enforce laws, and respond to emergencies across DMHAS facilities including Hartford, New Haven, Middletown, and Bridgeport locations. These positions are hazardous duty with a career path in law enforcement, offering benefits, pension options, and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Certification as a Connecticut law enforcement officer.
• Eligibility to work in the United States by date of appointment.
• Possession and maintenance of CT Police Officer Standards and Training Council certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security within DMHAS facilities.
• Protect clients, staff, and visitors and enforce applicable laws.
• Investigate incidents and respond to emergencies as part of the Public Safety Division.
• Assist in enforcing regulations and providing security across campuses and hospitals.
