Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in mitigation, grants, or project management preferred.
SC Certified Emergency Manager certification preferred or plan to complete within three years.
Ability to interpret regulations and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assist applicants pursuing Hazard Mitigation Grant funding through HMA programs (BRIC, HMGP).
Conduct briefings and meetings, review applications, and provide technical assistance.
Ensure timely submission of documentation in required systems and databases.
Monitor subgrantee compliance and perform post-completion inspections and issue resolution.
Prepare reports and updates on project status and budgets; coordinate with staff on mitigation projects.
