Job summary

George J. Priester Aviation seeks a Hawker 4000 Captain (PIC) to command the aircraft in a Part 135 operation based in the Kansas City area.

The role includes flight preparation, crew coordination, risk management, and top-tier passenger service for approximately 350 hours per year. The PIC must uphold FAA regulations, safety policies, and SMS protocols while leading a professional crew and maintaining currency.

Qualifications

• Flight experience requirements: total time, PIC time, MEL, ME PIC, jet time, IFR and type-rated PICs.
• Certifications required: ATP with multi-engine, First-Class Medical, FCC radio permit preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage crew and operations under FARs.

Responsibilities

• Act as Pilot in Command with final authority for safe operation of aircraft on all flights.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight planning including weather, performance, routing, fuel, and airworthiness checks.
• Lead CRM and ensure professional coordination across the flight crew.
• Provide outstanding passenger service and act as primary client contact during flights.
• Engage in Safety Management System activities and risk mitigation.
• Mentor and guide First Officers and other crew members.
• Complete post-flight documentation and report safety or equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and currency requirements.
