Job summary
A leading construction contractor in Hawaii is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support commercial and hospitality building projects. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years of relevant experience in vertical or commercial construction. Responsibilities include managing RFIs, assisting with project schedules, and maintaining quality assurance documentation. This full-time role offers a chance to work closely with field teams in Hawaii Island's dynamic construction environment.
Qualifications
3–6 years of vertical or commercial construction experience, ideally in hospitality, retail, or similar.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project phasing.
Prior Hawai‘i construction experience strongly valued; Big Island candidates preferred.
Responsibilities
Review, track, and process RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Assist with subcontractor scheduling and coordination needs.
Maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Help maintain QA/QC documentation and inspection records.
