Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial and vertical construction across Hawaii. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to keep jobs on schedule, within budget, and compliant with quality and safety standards.

You will assist with contracts, RFIs, submittals, estimates, scheduling, and progress reporting while coordinating field activities and reviewing drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 4+ years of construction experience, preferably with a general contractor.
• Experience with commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, renovation, or other vertical construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project administration, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, permits, and change orders.
• Assist with estimating, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, deliveries, and field activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Support quality control, safety, and self-performed work.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with field issues and project coordination.
• Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, trades, and vendors.

A well-established general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial and vertical construction projects throughout Hawaii. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to keep projects organized, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with quality and safety standards.

• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as project demands require.
• Ability to work at various project sites throughout Hawaii.
