Job summary

Mauna Lani, Auberge Collection on Hawaii's Kohala Coast seeks a Golf Course Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment across the course. Duties include sharpening cutting units, overhauling motors, and ordering parts as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience with small engines, be self-motivated, and possess strong computer skills. A high school diploma or GED and a Hawaii driver’s license are required; reel mower experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver’s license.
• Experience with repairs of small rotary mowers and hand-held equipment.
• Experience with grinding, sharpening, and adjusting reel mowers preferred.
• Background and certification in factory-supervised training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects of department equipment.
• Sharpening and height adjustments of cutting units.
• General overhaul and maintenance of motors/small engines.
• Prepare requisitions and order parts/supplies as needed.
• Complete assignments efficiently and with self-motivation.
