Job summary

Mauna Lani on the Kona coast seeks a Golf Course Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects across the resort's course equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong computer skills, and proven experience with small engines and reel mowing systems.

Responsibilities include sharpening and height adjustments of cutting units, ordering parts, and maintaining motors. A high school diploma or GED and a Hawaii driver's license are required, with prior golf course

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalently
• Must have a Hawaii State driver’s license
• Experience in repairs of small rotary mowers and hand-held equipment is required
• Golf course mechanic experience in grinding, sharpening, and adjusting reel mowers is preferred
• Background and certification in factory-supervised training is required

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects of equipment assigned to the department.
• Sharpening and height adjustments of all cutting units.
• General overhaul and maintenance of motors/small engines.
• Prepare requisitions and order parts/supplies for repairs.
• Candidates should be self-motivated and possess effective computer skills and prior related experience.
